A Reboot of the National Lampoon Vacation Series? Child Please! PDF Print E-mail

Filed under the heading of "Is This Really Needed?" with a crossfile of "WTF?", Filmdrunk tells us about a possible reboot of the National Lampoon "Vacation" franchise. Anthony Michael Hall, the original, and some say the seminal, Rusty will star as the patriarch of his own Griswold clan.

Smart money is betting he'll be just as clumsy and "outrageous" as his old man, Clark (Chevy Chase). Side bets are showing the wagers are also counting on Chevy and Beverly D’Angelo (Wife Ellen) will reprise their roles in the new series.

I'm sure everyone involved with the original films could use a couple of bucks now, but I think we're overlooking the most important issue. Namely, will the producers be able to lure Randy Quaid down from whatever tree he's living in long enough for him to at least film a cameo as everyones favorite crazy old Hamburger Helper lovin', trailer livin', achy-breaky dancin', relative lovin' cousin, Eddie.

Filmdrunk has all the juicy details: See it Here.

From time to time I come across great values on DVD's and movie box sets, and I'll definitely be sharing these with you.

The box set I want to point out to you today is "The Pink Panther Untimate Collection. It's currently $34.99 on Amazon.com. I bought a copy just now, and will be doing an in-depth review of the set upon reciept. (UPDATE: Looks like the price went back up. The cheapest available is $59.99. Current pricing will show in the Amazon box at the end of this article. Hope you were able to grab it while the price was low...)
